Charter

ARTICLE I PURPOSE

Section 1. The purpose of the Cerbat Ridgerunners ATV Club - CRRATVC Off-Highway Vehicle club is:

To stimulate and advance the general welfare of off-highway vehicle (OHV) recreation; to

Promote the safe and responsible use of OHV's; to serve the interests of off-highway vehicle

Enthusiasts; to foster a positive public image for OHV recreation; to stimulate the development of

OHV trail systems on public and private lands; to develop a fraternal spirit among OHV enthusiasts

And among affiliated clubs of the Music Mountain Region; to exchange information among CRRATVC

To perform all desirable and lawful functions for the successful operation of the club.

ARTICLE 11 MEMBERSHIP

Section 1. Membership in the club shall consist of the following categories:

(a) Regular member

Section 2. Membership is open to individuals who subscribe to the purpose and mission statement and By-Laws

Of the club.

Section 3. Each Regular Membership shall be entitled to one (1) vote.

Section 4. Applications for membership shall be made to the Club Secretary.

Section 5. A member may resign from the club at any time.

Section 6. Membership in the Club may be terminated by majority vote of the membership in the event of

Nonpayment of dues or for other reasons consistent with the Club's best interests. Termination shall

Not release said member from obligation to pay all dues and other amounts owed to the end of the `

Period of membership.

Section 7. Term of membership shall run from July 1st, through June 30th of each fiscal year.

ARTICLE lll DUES

Section 1. Each membership shall be assessed Club Dues at a rate of $12.00 per annum per regular membership

(a) 12.00 per person 18 years of age or older or $24.00 per couple (includes family under the age of

18 years).

ARTICLE IV OFFICERS AND MANAGEMENT OF THE CRRATVC

Section 1. Officers of the CRRATVC shall consist of: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Sergeant of Arms.

Section 2. Officers shall be elected by a majority vote of the membership present when required to fill these offices.

Section 3. All officers shall take office immediately upon election and hold office until the end of the fiscal year, or

Until their successors shall have been elected and qualified.

Section 4. The President shall preside at all meetings of the Club, shall oversee and coordinate such committees

as are authorized by the membership, shall be a member ex-ofhcio of such committees and shall carry

on those other responsibilities assigned to him or her by the by-laws of the CRRATVC.

Section 5. The Vice-President, during the absence or temporary incapacity of the President, shall perform the

duties and have the powers of the President.

Section 6. The secretary shall keep all CRRATVC records, except fiancial records, including minutes of the

meetings, roster of members, lists of Committees and their members. The secretary shall also send

out notices of meetings, receive applications for membership, and discharge all of the usual secretarial

functions for the Club and direct incoming correspondence to the appropriate official. the Secretary

may delegate such responsibilities as deemed appropriate.

Section 7. The Treasurer shall keep all financial records of the CRRATVC and have charge of its funds. The

Treasurer shall keep all CRRATVC funds in a bank approved by the membership and in the name of the

CRRATVC . The Treasurer shall disburse such funds under the direction of the membership.

Withdrawals shall be made by checks requiring signature of the President and I or the Vice President

and the Treasurer.

A Treasurers report shall be prepared for each meeting and an annual audit shall be prepared and

submitted at the Annual Meeting.

Section 8. The Sergeant of Arms shall be the safety Officer. His/ Her duty is to advise anyone of misconduct.

Section 9. All officers shall have such other powers and duties as are required by the Bylaws of the CRRATVC.

ARTICLE V MEETINGS

Each meeting shall be held on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at a location decided upon by the CRRATVC general membership.

The secretary shall keep a roster current, adding emergency contact and phone numbers per member. To be known as E#’s)

By—Laws

1. All members should strive to attend a recognized ATV Safety Course within six (6) months.

2. ATV Safety Course will be provided free of charge when available.

3. All members while attending any sanctioned CRRATVC event or ride shall adhere to all

state and federal laws.

4. The CRRATVC recommends that all riders wear protective attire such as: helmets, gloves,

eye protection, foot protection and other protective clothing.

5. Members who are found to be operating their ATV in an unsafe manner will not be permitted

to ride or participate in club events.

6. Any person riding under the age of 18 must, be accompanied by a parent or guardian

to ride.

7. All members who ride on sanctioned CRRAT\/C rides must have their equipment in safe

operational and mechanical condition.

8. Voting.

(a) All members must be present to vote.

(b) The voting process may be conducted by mail if agreed upon by the members.

(1) A majority vote of members present at scheduled meetings shall pass the motion on

general business.

(2) A quorum of 2/3rds of club members present to pass bylaws at which the voting may be

conducted by mail if so needed.

(c) Only members with current paid dues may vote.

(d) One vote per dues paid member.

9. All members shall strive to obtain proper registration in appropriate state within six (6)

months.

10. All members shall sign an CRRATVC liability release prior to participating in any club activity or event.
