Cerbat Ridge Runners ATV Club Meeting

                                                              July 24, 2018 6:30 pm Kingman Library









The meeting was called to order by Jim Davenport, President. Other board members present were Bill Murphy (sitting in for Gary Williams), Vice-President; Pat Williams, Treasurer; and Linda Aleksick, Secretary.


Pledge of Allegiance was led by Lori O’Connor. There were 36 members present and 2 guests; Jennifer Wheeler and Melissa Lindenberger (daughter of Gary and Lisa Williams).


Secretary Report: June minutes were approved and passed unanimously.


Treasurer Report: Previous balance was $1183.17. Sold flags and decals for $50.50, 50/50 drawing was $36.50, and dues collected equaled $696.00 Total income $783.00. There were no expenses. Ending balance is $1,966.17. There is $20.00 in petty cash. Report was approved and passed unanimously.


Membership Chairperson: Nothing new reported.


Presidents Report: Jim Davenport reported we are almost out of flags, pennants, and American flags. Several members are looking into new ones. Tim Depweg suggested using a different size pole because the last ones broke easily. A big “THANK YOU!” to Gary and Vivian Scheurell for the 4th of July party. Everyone enjoyed it and fun was had by all! Secretary was given a directive to send a thank you letter. The Meadview campout was cancelled after a pre-ride (location wasn’t what they were looking for). It was reported that JJ was in Oregon freezing but enjoying his adventure. The ice cream social was attended by 14 members and everyone enjoyed it.


BLM Liaison: Dave Adams reported the fire restrictions have been lifted.


Old Business: New business cards are here They can be picked up at the back table..


New Business: Tommy Colesanti announced that he and Bob Smitha had taken to Jennifer Wheeler to ride her quad and she did very well. Tommy said she can ride levels 1 and 2 possibly a 3. (Thank you for helping!).

Also sign-ups for a photo book like the one given to JJ is available (if you didn’t sign up and would like to purchase one, please contact me).


New officers will need to change signature cards for banking purposes.


Jennifer Wheeler was voted into our club on this date (7-24-18).


We had a visit from Matt Driscoll, from the Kingman Field Office, Outdoor Recreation Planner. Maps for trail rides should be available on or around &-25-18. Please go to BLM Office to ask for one. Review the map and submit any questions to him. Also while reviewing the map, please note any trails that are used by our club or private runs and info Matt of this or trails in need of repair. Matt also will let club know when the meeting for BLM will be and stressed that our voice is critical to keeping trails open.

Ride Committee: Jim Davenport gave a summary of last month’s rides. There were a total of 4 rides. Our new Ride Committee Chairperson is Bill Murphy. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, July 31, 8:00 am at Hot Rods Café.

Coming Up: Put this on your calendar.

August - Pete & Patty Byers are inviting those who want to attend the North Rim Trip. They will be there all month. Rides will be held on the 3rd-5th and the 10th-12th. Plan your trip and time appropriately to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Pete mentioned at this meeting he will be cooking cobbler on the first night, his chili on the second night, and a toast on the third night. The second week he will lead a couple of new rides. 50/50 Drawing was won by Michelle Murphy. She donated $20.00 back. (Thank you, Michelle!)
